Åland - The Nordic archipelago between Sweden and Finland
Photography, video and stories from Åland, Finland and the Nordic landscapes.
Åland – The place behind many of my photographs
Åland is where I live, and its islands, sea and changing light are a constant source of inspiration. From quiet summer evenings and boat trips through the archipelago, to stormy autumn days and colourful winter landscapes, there is always something that catches my eye.
Kobba Klintar - An old pilot station at the edge of the Åland Sea
Kobba Klintar never disappoints me. I try to visit the island every summer, often with my family but sometimes on my own. But never without a camera. If you stay into the early evening, you'll be rewarded with amazing colours and combinations in almost every crack and corner of the rocks. And then there are the sunsets, the kind that stay with you for a long time.
Colourful Winter
Winter is not nearly as white and monochromatic as it is said. On the contrary. The low rays of the winter sun give fantastic colours.
