Welcome, Eira!

Since our beautiful and beloved dog Agda passed away, something has been missing in our home. The Pumi breed is often described as a big dog in a small body—full of love, but also with a strong sense of independence. That description fit Agda perfectly. Agda was twelve years old when she passed, but she had only been with us for seven years. She came into our lives when she was five.

After much thought, we’ve decided to welcome another Pumi into our family. She’s been given the Old Norse name Eira, which starts with the letter “E,” just like all of her six siblings.

It’s hard to imagine a sweeter little soul. As I write this, she’s just 10 weeks old—a tiny puppy who loves to snuggle and be close, but when the “puppy crazies” strike, she definitely keeps us on our toes. Still, I already see clear similarities to Agda, even though Agda was fully grown when she joined our family.

Here are a few pictures of our lovely Eira.
