Rödhamn, there is no better place to wake up

You can't wake up in a nicer place than in the guest harbor Rödhamn. The name means the red harbor and perhaps refers to the rocks of rapakivi, that is, red granite. Here we were quite often when the cubs were smaller. A stunningly beautiful island with a view all the way to the horizon. If you sail in that direction for a few hours, you will reach Sweden. Rödhamn became the guest harbour of the year in Finland in 2023. They were well worth winning that prize. Read more about Rödhamn and Åland here.

Sailing Truls, our small 24 foot sailboat.

This picture is a few years old. We don't have that boat anymore but what nice days we had with it. You don't get closer to the archipelago nature than in a sailboat in my personal opinion. Will see if we get a new sailboat eventually. Used sailboats have dropped in price. But from a photographic perspective, sailboats are not the most practical. I have to admit that.
